The Socorro Classic 2026 has officially opened registrations for its upcoming edition, which will bring the European Tour of Longboard (ETL) and the European Tour of Bodyboard (ETB) to Playa de El Socorro, in Los Realejos, Tenerife, from 6 to 10 October.
The event is being jointly organised by the European Surfing Federation (ESF), the Spanish Surfing Federation (FES) and the Canary Islands Surfing Federation, reinforcing the collaboration between the three federations to promote and develop surfing disciplines at both national and European level.
The event will begin with the European Tour of Longboard, which will run from 6 to 8 October. These dates represent a change from those previously announced, with the adjustment made to avoid a clash with the ISA World Longboard Games, allowing athletes to compete in both international events.
From 7 to 10 October, El Socorro will also host the European Tour of Bodyboard, bringing together some of the best European riders for four days of competition in one of Tenerife’s most renowned surf spots.

Registrations for both competitions are now open through the European Surfing Federation’s official registration platform and will remain open until 23 September.
Athletes who register before 5 September will benefit from reduced entry fees:
- Open & Dropknee: €50 early bird / €70 regular fee
- Junior categories: €30 early bird / €50 regular fee

ETB Anglet postponed to 2027
The ETB Anglet event in France, which had previously been scheduled for September, has been postponed to the 2027 season.
The European Surfing Federation will announce further details regarding the 2027 calendar in due course.
The Socorro Classic 2026 will once again place El Socorro at the centre of European surfing, combining high-level competition with the collaboration of the European, Spanish and Canary Islands Surfing Federations at one of Tenerife’s most established surf locations.
